Area children enjoy “hands on” help learning “hands on” dental care
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 27, 2018, Mt. Vernon, Ohio – In celebration of Children’s Dental Health Month, the staff of Howe Family Dentistry made a “house call” to an area school.
On February 23, Dr. Brian Howe visited the 1st and 3rd graders at St. Vincent de Paul School. The students were shown how to take care of their teeth and some fun tips showing the right way to floss and brush, and to provide dental hygiene education. Dr. Howe completed dental exams on the 3rd graders.
“We believe strongly in the importance of starting proper dental care as early as possible,” said Dr. Howe. “By visiting kids in school, we can not only teach them about proper dental hygiene, but also show them some fun and easy ways to do it. Meeting the children in a group setting where they are comfortable also lets them see that dentists aren’t scary!”
Dr. Howe has been caring for children’s teeth for more than 25 years. He and his whole staff are great with kids.
