To our patients and families:
We wrote you last week and assured you we would be following the direction of the Ohio Department of Health and the Ohio State Dental Board as we navigate through this COVID-19.
We received communication from the OSDB that Governor Mike DeWine contacted the Ohio Dental Association and asked for our help in addressing the spread of COVID-19.
We have been requested to reschedule elective procedures including but not limited to “Any cosmetic or aesthetic procedures, routine hygiene appointments, initiating any crowns, bridges or dentures that do not address or prevent pain or restore normal oral functioning.” Thus, we will be contacting you to reschedule appointments.
We will be here answering phones and seeing emergency appointments for the duration of this pandemic. In addition, watch for email communications and Facebook posts if you have any questions about our hours. We want to thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we navigate these uncharted waters.
I read the following in an email I received this morning and I think it speaks volumes about how we will get through this:
“When I was young my parents taught me the difference between a community and a crowd. People in a crowd push, shove and try to get ahead of the person next to them. People in a community smile and help one another, knowing that we can’t move forward if we don’t do so together.”
Let us all keep smiling and strive to be part of the community that beats this virus!
